CLUB ACTIVITIES

Following are some of the deeds performed for our students.

◊ STAFF CRICKET CLUB:-

Every year, we play friendly fixtures with nearby college Staff teams and Cricket Clubs in the region. We also organize indoor net practices in the winter, as well as outdoor nets throughout the spring and summer.

◊ WINGS STAFF CLUB:-

Thiru. P. Chandra Sekara Hari Hara Swaminathan and Thiru. Cinraj had inaugurated the Wings Staff Club on 12th January 2016 at 11.00 am.

◊ SEEDS CLUB:-

Our SEEDS club creates important networks, as well as opportunities for the students to explore their personal interests, develop leadership and management skills. The Club also encourages student’s participation in a wide range of extra-curricular activities and to enhance social and community development skills. Students also get opportunities to learn about recent developments which broaden and deepen their knowledge in their field.

◊SHORT FILM CLUB:-

There are no hard and fast rules as to what makes a good short films, different audiences love different films, some love it for the original ideas, some for its good script, good acting, even an average plot can be made intriguing by an exciting new technique or style. As a general rule, the longer your short film is, the harder it is to keep the viewer's attention.

◊ FINE ARTS CLUB:-

Fine Arts en-compasses subjects such as dancing, design, sculpture, architecture, pottery, interior design, painting, drama and music. Fine Arts essentially are an art form, which includes objects mainly created for concept or aesthetic value rather than utility. Presently, conventional art forms are being converted into profitable sectors for commercial use. Today, opportunities are increasing at a rapid rate in the fine arts sector. Presently, youth in India is opting for this field to obtain high remuneration, popularity and prestige.

◊ NSS:-

The two NSS units of SSCET are actively involved in bringing awareness to the students about servicing the community and the nation voluntarily. Many social welfare activities in and out of campus are carried out as regular programmes.Every year our NSS unit organizes the Blood donation camp.

The Units also active in conducting rally for Road Safety, personal hygiene..etc,
Our NSS volunteers take part in the NSS Camp to clean and promote the village hygienically very strong every year.
Tree Plantation Program.
Eye Checkup Camp.
First Aid and Disaster Management Programmes.
AIDS and Cancer Awareness programmes.

◊ RRC:-

Red Ribbon Club of SSCET comprised of more than 100’s of self-interested volunteers from every year to get involved in various social welfare activities. Our Red Ribbon Club conducts various HIV and AIDS awareness programs to promote overall wellness and health among the youth. Some of the regular activities of the club are “C-Life” Celebrating Life is the program organized for the Volunteers of the unit every year.

Organizes Various HIV and AIDS Awareness Seminars to make awareness among the youth.
AIDS Awareness Rally.
Peer Educator Activity.
Intra College competition on Social and Youth Welfare topics.
Interaction and Exposure Visit (ICTC, ART, Blood Bank Medical Officers and Counselors ).

Youth Red Cross of our college conducts various programmes, events to make the youth awake and care of their own health, others. Some of the regular activities of YRC are

Organize Medical camps
Service as a volunteers for the medical camps organized by the various social welfare organization.
Pollution and Safety awareness rally.
Our YRC celebrates the following days to enlighten the youth.
